Eduard Jorswieck Technical University Dresden, Germany
Eduard Jorswieck is head of the Chair of Communications Theory and Full Professor at Technische Universitat Dresden (TUD), Germany. Eduard’s main research interests are in the area of signal processing for communications and networks, applied information theory, and communications theory. He has published more than 70 journal papers and some 200 conference papers on these topics. Dr. Jorswieck is senior member of IEEE. He was member of the IEEE SPCOM Technical Committee (2008-2013) and since 2015 member of the IEEE SAM Technical Committee. Since 2011, he acts as Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing. Since 2008, continuing until 2011, he has served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Signal Processing Letters, and until 2013, as Senior Associate Editor. Since 2013, he serves as Editor for IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. In 2006, he received the IEEE Signal Processing Society Best Paper Award.
Eduard has worked on energy efficiency in wireless networks for more than 7 years, lead several projects on this topic and published a recent monograph "Energy Efficiency in Wireless Networks via Fractional Programming Theory".
Ioannis Krikidis University of Cyprus
Ioannis Krikidis received the diploma in Computer Engi neering from the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department (CEID) of the University of Patras, Greece, in 2000, and the M.Sc and Ph.D degrees from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST), Paris, France, in 2001 and 2005, respectively , all in electrical engineering. From 2006 to 2007 he worked, as a Post - Doctoral researcher, with ENST, Paris, France, and from 2007 to 2010 he was a Research Fellow in the School of Engineering and Electronics at the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, UK. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Cyprus, Nicosia, Cyprus.
His current research interests include information theory, wireless communications, cooperative communications, cognitive radio, wireless power transfer, and energy harvesting for wireless communication systems. He has more than 120 publications in international journals and conferences and his work is well recognized with more than 2300 citations. Dr. Krikidis serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters and was a Guest-Editor for EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking (Special Issue Energy Harvesting Wireless Communications) in 2014. He was the Technical Program Co-Chair for the IEEE International Symposium on Signal Processing and Information Technology 2013. He received an IEEE Communications Letters an IEEE Wireless Communications Letters exemplary reviewer certificate in 2012. He received the ``Research Award Young Researcher’’ from the Research Promotion Foundation, Cyprus, in 2013.

M. Majid Butt (University of Glasgow, UK) is an Assistant Professor at University of Glasgow, as well as, an adjunct Assistant Professor at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Before that, he has held senior researcher positions at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and Qatar University. He is recipient of Marie Curie Alain Bensoussan postdoctoral fellowship from European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERCIM). He held ERCIM postdoc fellow positions at Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, Germany, and University of Luxembourg. Dr. Majid’s major areas of research interest include communication techniques for wireless networks with focus on radio resource allocation, scheduling algorithms, energy efficiency and cross layer design. He has authored more than 50 peer reviewed conference and journal publications in these areas. He has served as TPC chair for various communication workshops in conjunction with IEEE WCNC, ICUWB, CROWNCOM and IEEE Greencom. He is a senior member of IEEE and serves as an associate editor for IEEE Access journal and IEEE Communication Magazine since 2016.

Imran Shafique Ansari received the B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in 2009 (with First Honors) and M.Sc. and PhD degrees from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in 2010 and 2015, respectively. Currently, since October 2017, he is a Senior Lecturer with Global College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) (affiliated with/moderated by University of the West of England). Prior to this, from April 2015 to November 2017, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PRA) with Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ). From May 2009 through Aug. 2009, he was a visiting scholar with Michigan State University (MSU), East Lansing, MI, USA, and from Jun. 2010 through Aug. 2010, he was a research intern with Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada.
He is serving on the IEEE Communication Society Young Professionals (ComSoc YP) Board since April 2016. He is part of the IEEE 5G Tech Focus Publications Editorial Board since Feb. 2017. He is an active reviewer for various IEEE Transactions and various other journals. He has served as a TPC for various IEEE conferences. He is a recipient of appreciation for an exemplary reviewer for IEEE Wireless Communications Letters (WCL) in 2017 and 2014, a recipient of appreciation for an exemplary reviewer for IEEE Transaction on Communications (TCOM) in 2016, a recipient of TAMUQ Research Excellence Award 2016, 2017, a recipient of post-doctoral research award (PDRA) (first cycle) with Qatar national research foundation (QNRF) in 2014, a recipient of KAUST academic excellence award (AEA) in 2014, and a recipient of IEEE Richard E. Merwin student scholarship award in Jul. 2013.
Dr. Ansari has authored/co-authored 65+ journal and conference publications. He has co-organized the GRASNET'2016, 2017 workshops in conjunction with IEEE WCNC'2016, 2017. His current research interests include free-space optics (FSO), channel modeling/signal propagation issues, relay/multihop communications, physical layer secrecy issues, full duplex systems, and secure D2D applications for 5G+ systems, among others.
